Now that the summer is here in Montreal, and you can enjoy some warm and beautiful weather, you may want to learn some helpful tips to improve your swimming technique and participate in summer water activities. Swimming is one of the best sports around to work on the combination of cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, and flexibility. It is extremely beneficial for individuals who have signs of arthritis in their joints, since the non-weight-bearing nature of this sport and the buoyancy of the water facilitate movement and can be very helpful for people with aches and pains and joint stiffness.
It is never too late to improve your stroke and technique. Watching videos can be helpful to see and learn the ideal elements for proper form, so that you can incorporate optimum moves into your swimming practice to improve your stroke and swimming style.
Here is an excellent animated video, called Smooth Swimmer. It can help you swim like the pros and keep you fit and happy in the pools, oceans and lakes available during the summer months.
With practice and motivation, you can become a smooth swimmer too.
Thank you Brahm Rosenberg for bringing this video to my attention. Brahm recently completed a Half Iron Man competition. His motivation and hard work is inspirational to all of us.
Congratulations Brahm!
